Walking in the footsteps of the Dinosaurs
On the promise of dinosaur foot prints, we packed our rucksacks for a 12.5km picnic walk starting off from the Emosson dam above the Trient valley. After lots and lots of hairpin roads the kids were thrilled to find a zip wire (and ice cream shop) at the top. Stretching all the way across the front of the dam. Only two of our group were brave enough. The younger two of course. Once we'd got that (and two ice creams) out of the way we set off to find the footprints. Walking around the track alongside the vast expanse of turquoise...
Glastonbury '24
What a weekend. It's hard to put into words, so here are a few pictures. Which PACMATs did we take? Well, I like to have a Solo folded up in my bum bag. And a family for longer lounging moments. This year I took the Family Poppy PACMAT and an Original Solo PACMAT. Both came in very handy. . .
Who made your PACMAT?
From almost the very beginning, we have worked with Jag. Discussing ideas, working out how things might work, the best way to do things, testing new products. It's a great team. We are very lucky to have found him and his family. They really do bring PACMAT to life. Jag (pictured here with his dad) heads up the family cut and sew manufacturing business, FPM, in Birmingham. On a recent visit we got to see all the works in progress. We met his mum, dad and many of his family members. Each with their own skill to bring to the team. It was...

Wild garlic has a slightly milder taste from regular garlic. You can find out more about it and other foraging in the foraging for wild herbs and weeds cards here. There are lots of recipes for wild garlic. Here are a few ideas. As well as being fun to collect and cook they make great picnic snacks and flask fillers for your next outing. Wild Garlic...
Top of the rocks
Our second day at the farm was looking quite wet. Not deterred by the wather, we kitted up in full waterproofs, packed a picnic and headed out for a walk. This time walking up towards the other tor, heading towards Grimspound. The first part of the walk followed a stream through a magical fairytale like woodland. Curling, entwined branches covered in vibrant green moss. Gradually we got higher, walking up through the bracken, looking back seeing the view of the farmhouse. Snack time! The ground was soaking. We spread out a PACMAT and had a sit down to enjoy the view....
