Another big night out!
With the fantastic weather we decided to do another night out with a few friends. A day spent climbing followed by a walk up to the Cheserys meant we were ready for a good night's sleep. After pitching we treated ourselves to a little Firepot. (It really does taste so much better than other dehydrated food and they have a good vegetarian range). Again we were treated by the company of marmots and the magnificent bucatan. It was a warm, balmy night, but with a clear sky. After sitting out chatting under the stars we all slept well, waking early for...
Big night out
A hike up to the Cheserys, near Lac Blanc in the early evening with a hike tent, a couple of Firepots and a PACMAT for a mini adventure. After the walk up it ended up being quite late to pitch the tent by headtorch! Home sweet home (for the night) with a London Parks Ordnance Survey extension. After a very comfortable night, we woke to the dawn. Followed by a walk up to Lac Blanc, a cup of tea and piece of myrtille cake, a swim to freshen up and a walk back down to the valley. If you want to know...
A very wet day
What better thing to do on a very wet day, but to get even wetter?! Rainy days are made for wild swimming, hot chocolate and ponchos. Our plan had been to enjoy a sunny afternoon around a wild swim spot, but the weather looked a bit grey for sitting around so off we went on a walk, much to Basil, the dog's pleasure. It was wonderful to explore the area. Such variety in scenery and weather. As we returned to the river, where we'd parked, the kids jumped in. A quick few dips (jumping in from the bridge) before finally admitting to...
PACMAT at the splash pool
Keeping the kids cool on a hot summers day at the splash pool. The PACMAT is compact and easy to carry anywhere. A comfortable, dry seat to lounge in the sun while the kids splash.
A comfortable spot for a picnic
After a swim in Chamonix we had a picnic in a wonderful spot by the lake. The grass was a bit wet, but with the water-proof PACMAT original family it wasn't a problem. A comfy seat for all.
