Of course no visit to Dartmoor would be complete for us without a visit to Widecombe and Bonehill. The kids have been climbing the rocks at Bonehill since they could walk. It can sometimes take a while, so it's handy to have.a PACMAT while we wait. The view from here is fantastic, over Widecombe, unless there's Dartmoor mist, which there often is. Dartmoor, an old favourite of ours. In fact, it's where we came up with the idea of PACMAT. It was a hot day, so the first stop was a walk and dip in the River Dart. Parking at Badgers Holt, we crossed the road and walked along the river bank for about half an hour. It's always fun here with fast flowing water and natural jacuzzis. We are very pleased to tell you that you can now buy the Ordnance Survey PACMAT in Dartmoor - the National Park that gave us the inspiration! Cafe on the Green is one of our favourite places to go for a bite to eat before or after a walk on the moor. It's in the heart of Widecombe-in-the-moor, opposite the church, just around the corner from the National Trust shop. The cafe shop sells books about the area, locally made produce and now our Ordnance Survey Dartmoor PACMAT.  It's a really family and dog friendly place and they do take always too, so...

The new selection of OS PACMATs now covers Great Britain, Dartmoor (OS Landranger), The Lake District (OS Road map), New Forest (OS Landranger), Isle of Arran (OS Road map) and Snowdonia (OS Landranger).
