Wild camp with Basil
Arriving a week before the rest of the family arrived to have some quiet time in the mountains whilst working from home. Guy and Basil (our dog) thought they'd make the most of the weekend.Guy packed a bag. Another big night out!
With the fantastic weather we decided to do another night out with a few friends. A day spent climbing followed by a walk up to the Cheserys meant we were ready for a good night's sleep. After pitching we treated ourselves to a little Firepot. (It really does taste so much better than other dehydrated food and they have a good vegetarian range). Big night out
A hike up to the Cheserys, near Lac Blanc in the early evening with a hike tent, a couple of Firepots and a PACMAT for a mini adventure. After the walk up it ended up being quite late to pitch the tent by headtorch! Home sweet home (for the night) with a London Parks Ordnance Survey extension. After a very comfortable night, we woke to the dawn. Followed by a walk up to Lac Blanc, a cup of tea and piece of myrtille cake, a swim to freshen up and a walk back down to the valley.
