Walking -

We'd had a long journey back, stretched over two weeks. Italy, Germany, Belgium, France and finally back to Dover. Before heading into to town we thought we'd have a rest at Granny's, Sussex. The Ashdown Forest is nearby and a wonderful place to walk. With far reaching views, tall trees and a refreshing breeze of fresh air. We parked up and found a good place to leave Guy with on a bench with a view.  And off we went with Basil for a final stretch of the legs before our journey back into Central London.

Exploring the Alps, Walking -

It was a stunning day. The kids had been invited to go canyoning with some friends, so we thought we'd make the most of it and take the dog for a picnic walk. Dogs aren't allowed to walk in the French National Park area so we drove to Col de la forclaz. A road very popular with road cyclists, just over the boarder in Switzerland. Camping, Swimming, Walking -

With the fantastic weather we decided to do another night out with a few friends. A day spent climbing followed by a walk up to the Cheserys meant we were ready for a good night's sleep. After pitching we treated ourselves to a little Firepot.  (It really does taste so much better than other dehydrated food and they have a good vegetarian range).   Again we were treated by the company of marmots and the magnificent bucatan.  It was a warm, balmy night, but with a clear sky.
