Bonehill and Widecombe

Exploring Dartmoor -

Bonehill and Widecombe

Of course no visit to Dartmoor would be complete for us without a visit to Widecombe and Bonehill.

The kids have been climbing the rocks at Bonehill since they could walk. It can sometimes take a while, so it's handy to have.a PACMAT while we wait.

The view from here is fantastic, over Widecombe, unless there's Dartmoor mist, which there often is. After the kids finished climbing and messing about on the rocks we popped into Widecombe for a cup of tea at Cafe on the Green (where you can also buy a Dartmoor PACMAT) and then a quick visit to dad in the church yard. I like to keep an eye on him and it's not a bad place to spend a bit of time. He'd be very happy with his spot.
